I hope and pray and trust (God) that you, my friend and brother, are able to share all of it - all of you - all of God in you - with us again very, very soon.

I was immediately impressed with Dieter’s conviction, passion for proclaiming Jesus, sense of humor, and talent. Dieter’s messages and the friends I made at Newsong helped to strengthen my commitment to Jesus and to branch out into ministry like I never had before. Surely you know this, Dieter, but you changed my life, saw something in me that no one had ever seen, and called it out of me. You remain something of my spiritual father, forever bound to me as a true friend and inspiration. There is always a little piece of you when I open my mouth to lead people into God’s presence. We write this while looking upon your family picture at Kyle’s graduation, (from the Campus Crusade letter, and what a nice looking family), and we remember coming to Christ at New Song in a gymnasium in 1991. Those were exciting times, and we have Dieter and Val to thank for bringing Christ to the unchurched like us! We also remember Val chasing all those gorgeous blonde boys around. Another fond memory is when Dieter dedicated Aubree (now our 15 year old)to the church when she was a baby, and we still have the pink bible with her name engraved on it-what a treasure. We remember getting baptized by Dieter at the San Dimas Hot Tubs, and our lives have been forever changed for Jesus! Another fun and favorite memory is when Dieter played Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”on the keyboard-what fun!! What a great trait that you passed on to the boys; Godly young men, who are musically and artistically talented. Thank you Dieter, Val, and the boys, you all inspire and encourage us in the Lord!

I echo Sara’s comments above that you are still a part of your old Willow writers’ group’s hearts. We have not been in touch, but God has seen me through cancer (so far), chemo while pregnant (the kid is fine despite many telling me to abort), a high-risk second pregnancy (placenta previa) and, at present, my jaw is wired shut (broken in three places, freak slip-and-fall thing). In all, God is good — these letters are a testament to how God is reaching to encourage your family — although I’m sure it feels very crazy at ground zero. I treasure my days at Willow with Dieter’s twinkly smile six feet from my desk and those rich conversations at your house (I understand a lot more about life in general now that I have three kids too!). Man…where do we even begin? New Song Church is where I really discovered what Jesus was all about. The Lord worked through Dieter Zander to make that happen. Here was this guy playing keyboards and singing praise music in a rented room at Cal Poly Pomona. I realized that he was also the pastor when he started preaching after worship. Preaching? Not really an appropriate word. He just simply talked about life. Things that applied to me, and how Jesus fit into that. What a concept. I knew at that moment that New Song Church is where I beleonged, and remained with my wife Sherry for 17 years. God bless you Dieter! May He heal you quickly and completely.
We just learned today about Dieter’s condition through Ray Fox, who has been attending BayMarin. Our hearts go out to you and you are in our prayers for a miraculous and quick recovery. It’s been a while. Know that we have been getting updates regularly and think of you very often. May it be as comforting to you & your family as it has been to us that we are no longer praying exclusively for Dieter’s survival, but for his continued, steady progress. Many questions remain unanswered regarding his condition and prognosis, but we are comforted by many memories of doing life & ministry together with you, Dieter and Val. May it also be with you. Situations such as this reveal much about Dieter’s legacy. And even in this moment, while he lies fighting to regain his health, he challenges me to self-examine. Thanks for continuing to pastor us. We are praying for Dieter and his family, too. So sorry to hear the news. We heard about it from Larry Smith, who heard it from Duke Draeger, and so on. The news just keeps spreading throughout this huge network of people impacted by Dieter, his ministry, and his love for Jesus. There are probably hundreds of Christians praying right now for the Zanders. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14 NIV)
I (John) met Dieter in the early 90’s when he was the pastor at New Song Church in Covina CA. We gathered in the gym at Royal Oak Intermediate School. My college roommates and Campus Crusade for Christ friends at Cal Poly Pomona introduced me to New Song. I got to know Dieter best when I helped with technical direction during the church services. I remember during a planning meeting Dieter saying that he did not want the service to turn into “The Dieter Show” if he was performing too much. Dieter is such a talented and gifted man, with such a humble heart–a heart for the Lord! My wife Mindy met Dieter while she was a student at Azusa Pacific University. Mindy and I met at New Song on a blind date! A year later, Dieter married us (15 years ago).
Dear Zander Family-Georgene and I were shocked, as I suspect everyone was, to learn what had happened to our friend and my biking buddy Dieter, who I considered a model of health and wellness. Know that we are “praying without ceasing” for Dieter, the entire family, and everyone providing medical care.
I was so sad to hear of your situation. We are praying for you. We missed you so much, when you left NewSong and now we miss New Song. We will continue to pray for you and we really appreciate these updates.

Since Dieter had his stroke on Monday we have prayed for you everyday. What has been truly amazing is that each of us have had very sweet stories that have come up this week of time we have recently spent individually with Dieter that was really meaningful. I think I enjoyed hearing Austin talk about the day he spent cooking with Dieter for the faith community leaders dinner the most. They seemed to have a really great time. It made me think about just how hard Dieter worked to touch the lives around him. We will continue to pray for full healing for Dieter and that all your needs are being met.
So many prayers from so many people in so many places…all for your family during this time, and all with the confidence that God is in control. You are all in our hearts and minds and prayers. May you feel an unexplainable peace that can only come from the one who made you and loves you more than you know.

Ever since meeting you (Dieter) at Santiam Pass when you were in 7th grade(someone mentioned the Charlie Brown theme song, which you were playing back then), I have watched God’s hand grow, guide, lead and bless you.
From our time together in your very first band (Welcome Home), through our high school years with the high-pitch voices of star-struck girls chanting, “Dieter!, Dieter!, Dieter!” still ringing in my ears, your Elton John tributes in a silver satin jumpsuit, warming up the Archers and Leon Patillo on New Years Eve, our youth ministry years together at Mountain Park Church in Oregon, your playing (with the band) at my wedding and all the years and memories of your courtship with and marriage to Val, the birth of your sons, effective ministry at Newsong, Willow Creek, BayMarin, and around the world, until our recent phone conversation last fall, I have watched God add his blessing to your life and use you to impact people in mighty and powerful ways.
I remember your flying out to New Jersey in 1991 (when I was working on Wall Street) to lead worship and preach the gospel for the dedication of our newborn son, Dieter (now 17), who was named after you. I know you speak of him (and think of me) often when convincing people there really is someone else in the world named Dieter. I often pray my son models his life after yours even as he carries your name.
Heavenly Father… please heal and restore my friend and brother according to your will. May his life continue to bring great glory to you and may your peace and love comfort and protect his family.
And now unto him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

We started going to Newsong when it was at Royal Oaks. I was an APU student and had attended off and on at Mt Sac also. I started bringing my husband (then fiancee) with me and we were both touched and ministered to by Dieter. His way of teaching and talking to the church made us feel very welcomed (and we loved his fun-loving side too) We continued to attend Newsong until we moved in Aug 2006 to Kansas City area. We keep in contact with some friends in CA and heard about Dieter on Monday.

My heart and prayers go out to you all. Dieter, your first night at Willow Creek was also my first time there and I was so impressed by the worship you lead that it brought me back again and again. I came to know Christ because of you and that experience. Please know that you all are being prayed for throughout all of Willow. Peace, wisdom, courage and strength to you all.
Please know that First Presbyterian Church in Petaluma is praying continually for healing, wisdom for the doctors and comfort for the rest of the family. Our congregation prayed for you all this morning and our prayer team has been praying since Monday.
It saddened me to hear the news about Dieter. I was remembering the time when coming to Christ in late 1995, I had nowhere to connect in Willow Creek. The Axis ministry was a breath of fresh air and an answer to prayer. It was at Axis where my friends and I were starting to cut our teeth into ministry. Dieter modeled what it meant to be a godly spiritual leader. “To serve and not be served” was one of our many mottos.
Val, I can identify with the pain that you are going through. My earthly father is currently experiencing health problems and our family is having to shoulder the burden of this affliction. But our God is a God of miracles and he can do so again. I pray that God’s hand of protection is upon Dieter. I pray that the doctors will identify the problem and will be able to do something about it. I pray that your faith in Christ will be strengthen through this trial. Remember James 1:2-4.

Strange as it may seem - 18 years ago you held my then 1 year old daughter, Shiloh for the entire day at Huntington Beach.

I spent part of that day with Val and I forgot I was a mom. You know why I forgot? Because I could. I trusted you. I didn’t plan it, but what a splendid day that was. I love you. I love that day and I love the memory.

When I heard about Dieter, my entire body hurt for you and your family. It didn’t ache, that word cannot describe the pain I felt for you all. I remember all too clearly what it feels like to be in such an unbelievable place. My youngest brother Derrick had a massive heart attack on 1/30/07. He had no heart beat for 7 minutes. He was 38 when it happened. Healthy as a horse, but that sunday morning he got up to go running and collapsed on my sister in law. The pain and fear that was forthcoming for our family was unbelievable. Bearable only because of our faith and the prayers of well, a LOT of people all over the country. Derrick now has a defribillator in his chest and is recovering fabulously, but…
When I heard, it was like the last 20 something years just fell away in a second and I saw my friend, you; grace, courage, strength and wisdom ever present. Your faith, as much a part of you as breathing. Omnipresent in your life. You ignited in me many things during our friendship, some not evident until later on, but all good.
What I remember most about Dieter is his unwillingness to give up. I know he hears what you all say to him, even through the sedatives. Be careful what you promise, when he wakes up he’s going to hold you to them. I owe my brother lunch at a restaurant I used to take him to as a child. I promised him that I would take him while he was in a coma, when he woke up, he said Polly’s Pies Teece. He heard me and remembered!! Promise Dieter his favorite meal and dessert, he’ll be up in no time! My prayer for you all is just that. All of you sitting at the dinner table or out for a walk, as a family. With Dieter as the head of your household, stronger and more determined than ever.

I also remember when I played the piano at our niece’s wedding, and realized when I arrived that I was expected to play before the wedding also. I got goosebumps reading your latest message dated 2/11 in the a.m. Your emotions must be so intense that you sometimes have trouble knowiing how you actually feel. I hope and pray that you are able to get some rest - you need your strengh too - there are probably so many people looking to you (your boys, both your in-laws and your parents, siblings, etc.). My mom in Florida is also praying for you. She has walked in your shoes with my dad’s medical crises. Although I haven’t seen you or Dieter since school ended last year, I have kept in touch via conversations with Larry. I want you to know that the fitness program that Larry and Dieter were doing was inspirational to me - as at the end of June 2007 I embarked on a major lifestyle change that has resulted in the discarding of 74 pounds and the ability to exercise without pain for the first time in 15 years. I trust that God will heal Dieter completely, and he and Larry will be working out together again. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Church yesterday was amazing. Hopeful, tearful, prayerful, comforting, challenging. David encouraged us to see that even now, conscious or not, Dieter continues to do the works that God has prepared for him.
People are praying more, caring for each other more, coming to church more, accepting the challenge to grow in their faith, through this. These are things that Dieter has dedicated his life to, and through his weakness now God continues to do His work. This realization has been very comforting for me, that we are not swirling around lost, in a big sea of randomness and chaos, but we are still within the shelter of God’s purpose and protection.
Dieter has been an encouragement and a friend to me and I miss him, and pray that he comes back soon.

This is a little strange. I have never met Dieter, but only know of his name from a class I took with Bob Logan a number of years ago. but I had a dream last night that dieter figured prominently in, and I was praying over the dream, I decided to do a google search on him and I found this!

Morgan and I love you guys and lift you up in prayer. My prayer is still the one birthed at the Wiesen wedding back in October. You all said something very unusual to me–that it was your desire to be able to dance at your sons’ weddings. I thought it strange, as you all are young and those weddings will begin to take place within the next 10 years or so. And then you all went out to the dance floor there and I was struck at the loveliness of your dance and your relationship and of God being present. So I wanted to tell you again that I am praying that you will be able to once again dance, in particular at your sons’ weddings, and that it will be something so beautiful that it takes my breath away.

Many years ago My husband and I found Newsong Church in Covina, Ca during a time when we were searching for meaning and stability in our lives. We had both gone through a painful divorce and were drawn to Dieter preaching in the Junior High Gym at Royal Oak. His sermons encouraged us and gave us direction. I rededicated my life to Jesus at Newsong and was baptized. Through mutual friends we were introduced and married.

I am earnestly lifting Dieter up in prayer for healing and the rest of you in prayer for reassurance and peace. It was back in 1991 that I went to Royal Oak Intermediate School along with friends to visit NewSong for the first time. I was immediately impressed with Dieter’s conviction, passion for proclaiming Jesus, sense of humor, and talent. Dieter’s messages and the friends I made at Newsong helped to strengthen my commitment to Jesus and to branch out into ministry like I never had before. Again, I will be praying for Dieter to be healed and for Val and the boys to be comforted. God is in control!

Surely you know this, Dieter, but you changed my life, saw something in me that no one had ever seen, and called it out of me. You remain something of my spiritual father, forever bound to me as a true friend and inspiration. There is always a little piece of you when I open my mouth to lead people into God’s presence. I attended Newsong Covina over 15 years ago with my family (The Perry’s) And Dieter was very inspirational. His words spoke to the heart and I will always remember him playing the Charlie Brown Theme song!

We write this while looking upon your family picture at Kyle’s graduation, (from the Campus Crusade letter, and what a nice looking family), and we remember coming to Christ at New Song in a gymnasium in 1991. Those were exciting times, and we have Dieter and Val to thank for bringing Christ to the unchurched like us! We also remember Val chasing all those gorgeous blonde boys around. Another fond memory is when Dieter dedicated Aubree (now our 15 year old)to the church when she was a baby, and we still have the pink bible with her name engraved on it-what a treasure. We remember getting baptized by Dieter at the San Dimas Hot Tubs, and our lives have been forever changed for Jesus! Another fun and favorite memory is when Dieter played Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”on the keyboard-what fun!! What a great trait that you passed on to the boys; Godly young men, who are musically and artistically talented. Thank you Dieter, Val, and the boys, you all inspire and encourage us in the Lord!

I echo Sara’s comments above that you are still a part of your old Willow writers’ group’s hearts. We have not been in touch, but God has seen me through cancer (so far), chemo while pregnant (the kid is fine despite many telling me to abort), a high-risk second pregnancy (placenta previa) and, at present, my jaw is wired shut (broken in three places, freak slip-and-fall thing). In all, God is good — these letters are a testament to how God is reaching to encourage your family — although I’m sure it feels very crazy at ground zero. I treasure my days at Willow with Dieter’s twinkly smile six feet from my desk and those rich conversations at your house (I understand a lot more about life in general now that I have three kids too!). From the moment I walked into the “core group” meeting for Axis and heard Dieter share his heart and vision for reaching the “Gen X” generation, I knew I was home. Your leadership and passion made a lifelong impact on me and countless others around Willow. Man…where do we even begin? New Song Church is where I really discovered what Jesus was all about. The Lord worked through Dieter Zander to make that happen. Here was this guy playing keyboards and singing praise music in a rented room at Cal Poly Pomona. I realized that he was also the pastor when he started preaching after worship. Preaching? Not really an appropriate word. He just simply talked about life. Things that applied to me, and how Jesus fit into that. What a concept. I knew at that moment that New Song Church is where I beleonged, and remained with my wife Sherry for 17 years. God bless you Dieter! May He heal you quickly and completely.

May it be as comforting to you & your family as it has been to us that we are no longer praying exclusively for Dieter’s survival, but for his continued, steady progress. Many questions remain unanswered regarding his condition and prognosis, but we are comforted by many memories of doing life & ministry together with you, Dieter and Val. May it also be with you. We are praying for Dieter and his family, too. So sorry to hear the news. We heard about it from Larry Smith, who heard it from Duke Draeger, and so on. The news just keeps spreading throughout this huge network of people impacted by Dieter, his ministry, and his love for Jesus. There are probably hundreds of Christians praying right now for the Zanders. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14 NIV)
I (John) met Dieter in the early 90’s when he was the pastor at New Song Church in Covina CA. We gathered in the gym at Royal Oak Intermediate School. My college roommates and Campus Crusade for Christ friends at Cal Poly Pomona introduced me to New Song. I got to know Dieter best when I helped with technical direction during the church services. I remember during a planning meeting Dieter saying that he did not want the service to turn into “The Dieter Show” if he was performing too much. Dieter is such a talented and gifted man, with such a humble heart–a heart for the Lord! My wife Mindy met Dieter while she was a student at Azusa Pacific University. Mindy and I met at New Song on a blind date! A year later, Dieter married us (15 years ago).

Since Dieter had his stroke on Monday we have prayed for you everyday. What has been truly amazing is that each of us have had very sweet stories that have come up this week of time we have recently spent individually with Dieter that was really meaningful. I think I enjoyed hearing Austin talk about the day he spent cooking with Dieter for the faith community leaders dinner the most. They seemed to have a really great time. Ever since meeting you (Dieter) at Santiam Pass when you were in 7th grade(someone mentioned the Charlie Brown theme song, which you were playing back then), I have watched God’s hand grow, guide, lead and bless you.
From our time together in your very first band (Welcome Home), through our high school years with the high-pitch voices of star-struck girls chanting, “Dieter!, Dieter!, Dieter!” still ringing in my ears, your Elton John tributes in a silver satin jumpsuit, warming up the Archers and Leon Patillo on New Years Eve, our youth ministry years together at Mountain Park Church in Oregon, your playing (with the band) at my wedding and all the years and memories of your courtship with and marriage to Val, the birth of your sons, effective ministry at Newsong, Willow Creek, BayMarin, and around the world, until our recent phone conversation last fall, I have watched God add his blessing to your life and use you to impact people in mighty and powerful ways.
I remember your flying out to New Jersey in 1991 (when I was working on Wall Street) to lead worship and preach the gospel for the dedication of our newborn son, Dieter (now 17), who was named after you. I know you speak of him (and think of me) often when convincing people there really is someone else in the world named Dieter. I often pray my son models his life after yours even as he carries your name.
Heavenly Father… please heal and restore my friend and brother according to your will. May his life continue to bring great glory to you and may your peace and love comfort and protect his family.
And now unto him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Wow! I’m not sure really where to begin. I just wanted to let you know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts. I get chills when I read these letters and see just how many people you have touched around the world! What an awesome testament to your service for God.
We started going to Newsong when it was at Royal Oaks. I was an APU student and had attended off and on at Mt Sac also. I started bringing my husband (then fiancee) with me and we were both touched and ministered to by Dieter. His way of teaching and talking to the church made us feel very welcomed (and we loved his fun-loving side too) We continued to attend Newsong until we moved in Aug 2006 to Kansas City area. We keep in contact with some friends in CA and heard about Dieter on Monday.

It saddened me to hear the news about Dieter. I was remembering the time when coming to Christ in late 1995, I had nowhere to connect in Willow Creek. The Axis ministry was a breath of fresh air and an answer to prayer. It was at Axis where my friends and I were starting to cut our teeth into ministry. Dieter modeled what it meant to be a godly spiritual leader. “To serve and not be served” was one of our many mottos.
Val, I can identify with the pain that you are going through. My earthly father is currently experiencing health problems and our family is having to shoulder the burden of this affliction. But our God is a God of miracles and he can do so again. I pray that God’s hand of protection is upon Dieter. I pray that the doctors will identify the problem and will be able to do something about it. I pray that your faith in Christ will be strengthen through this trial. Remember James 1:2-4.

Please know you have impacted my life and I love you dearly. It is true! YOU have impacted my life and I love you dearly.
Strange as it may seem - 18 years ago you held my then 1 year old daughter, Shiloh for the entire day at Huntington Beach.
Check this out - that meant the world to me. I never ever forgot it. I think of that day now and again. I needed you all and you were there for me.
I spent part of that day with Val and I forgot I was a mom. You know why I forgot? Because I could. I trusted you. I didn’t plan it, but what a splendid day that was. I love you. I love that day and I love the memory.
Your talent inspires me beyond words. I love the way you raise roofs of churches everywhere you go.
You are a person that is ‘a honor to know’. Congratulations for all you have accomplished on this planet! Christ has blessed you greatly. Your life is a success story.

Hello Val,
When I heard about Dieter, my entire body hurt for you and your family. It didn’t ache, that word cannot describe the pain I felt for you all. I remember all too clearly what it feels like to be in such an unbelievable place. My youngest brother Derrick had a massive heart attack on 1/30/07. He had no heart beat for 7 minutes. He was 38 when it happened. Healthy as a horse, but that sunday morning he got up to go running and collapsed on my sister in law. The pain and fear that was forthcoming for our family was unbelievable. Bearable only because of our faith and the prayers of well, a LOT of people all over the country. Derrick now has a defribillator in his chest and is recovering fabulously, but…
When I heard, it was like the last 20 something years just fell away in a second and I saw my friend, you; grace, courage, strength and wisdom ever present. Your faith, as much a part of you as breathing. Omnipresent in your life. You ignited in me many things during our friendship, some not evident until later on, but all good.
What I remember most about Dieter is his unwillingness to give up. I know he hears what you all say to him, even through the sedatives. Be careful what you promise, when he wakes up he’s going to hold you to them. I owe my brother lunch at a restaurant I used to take him to as a child. I promised him that I would take him while he was in a coma, when he woke up, he said Polly’s Pies Teece. He heard me and remembered!! Promise Dieter his favorite meal and dessert, he’ll be up in no time! My prayer for you all is just that. All of you sitting at the dinner table or out for a walk, as a family. With Dieter as the head of your household, stronger and more determined than ever.

Hey Deiter - this is to make you laugh when you are yourself again. We remember you as the best soccer goalie in history. I also remember when I played the piano at our niece’s wedding, and realized when I arrived that I was expected to play before the wedding also. Having only “practiced” a few songs, I knew I was in trouble. Then I saw you sitting in the audience and knew I was going to be ok. You played until it was nearly time for the wedding - and I must say much better than I. Thank you again!

I got goosebumps reading your latest message dated 2/11 in the a.m. Your emotions must be so intense that you sometimes have trouble knowiing how you actually feel. I hope and pray that you are able to get some rest - you need your strengh too - there are probably so many people looking to you (your boys, both your in-laws and your parents, siblings, etc.). My mom in Florida is also praying for you. She has walked in your shoes with my dad’s medical crises. Although I haven’t seen you or Dieter since school ended last year, I have kept in touch via conversations with Larry. I want you to know that the fitness program that Larry and Dieter were doing was inspirational to me - as at the end of June 2007 I embarked on a major lifestyle change that has resulted in the discarding of 74 pounds and the ability to exercise without pain for the first time in 15 years. I trust that God will heal Dieter completely, and he and Larry will be working out together again. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

As crazy as it sounds that goofy photo of Dieter - the one that used to adorn the door to our shared laundry room on 12th Ave. - still graces our current laundry room. We’ve kept it as our little “stone” to remind us of those life changing days in San Francisco with the Zander family. We love you guys and we are praying diligently for Dieter’s full recovery as well as for you and the boys.

We are remembering each of you, holding you up in prayer before our Father, who loves and cares for us. Dieter and Val, you are a precious and beautiful couple whose lives have blessed so many. Know that you are surrounded by a host of friends and family who are interceding on your behalf. Zander family-
Church yesterday was amazing. Hopeful, tearful, prayerful, comforting, challenging. David encouraged us to see that even now, conscious or not, Dieter continues to do the works that God has prepared for him.
People are praying more, caring for each other more, coming to church more, accepting the challenge to grow in their faith, through this. These are things that Dieter has dedicated his life to, and through his weakness now God continues to do His work. This realization has been very comforting for me, that we are not swirling around lost, in a big sea of randomness and chaos, but we are still within the shelter of God’s purpose and protection.
Dieter has been an encouragement and a friend to me and I miss him, and pray that he comes back soon.
Praying with you and for you, especially today for healing for the pneumonia, and praising God for the stabilizing of Dieter’s vital signs.

Breathing on his own? Eyes open? Let’s count our blessings again. Many of us feared it would take much longer than one week. Some day soon I hope Dieter will understand how many people all around the world have channeled their prayers to help lift him to this point. It’s been an amazing team effort — you, too, John the Webmaster! Surely Dieter already knows that his family has been there for him the whole time and will continue to be by his side. I ask that Dieter be back home making Mickey Mouse waffles as soon as possible! I ask that angels sing to him the songs he led in worship to heal and comfort him.

This is a little strange. I have never met Dieter, but only know of his name from a class I took with Bob Logan a number of years ago. but I had a dream last night that dieter figured prominently in, and I was praying over the dream, I decided to do a google search on him and I found this!
To Dieter, Val and your family: I am writing to let you know that God knows and cares and sees what you are going through. Your prayers and the ways in which you have served Him and taken a step-by-step journey in seeking to be obedient to His heart have been noted by Him. He loves that about you!
God is in this for your healing! And He is recruiting intercessors and prayer warriors from throughout the body of Christ (way beyond the large circle of people in your network) to pray for you and intercede on your behalf. Be assured of His presence, love and grace for you.

Morgan and I love you guys and lift you up in prayer. My prayer is still the one birthed at the Wiesen wedding back in October. You all said something very unusual to me–that it was your desire to be able to dance at your sons’ weddings. I thought it strange, as you all are young and those weddings will begin to take place within the next 10 years or so. And then you all went out to the dance floor there and I was struck at the loveliness of your dance and your relationship and of God being present. So I wanted to tell you again that I am praying that you will be able to once again dance, in particular at your sons’ weddings, and that it will be something so beautiful that it takes my breath away.

Val, I’m sure you must have a mixture of feelings all crammed in together. Consider the thousands of us who are praying to be the friends who are lowering you and Dieter and the boys down through the roof. When you’re helpless and hopeless, let us be your hope-ers. When you’re fearful, we will cover you with the comfort with which we’ve been comforted. When you don’t know how to pray, we’ll do the praying for you, for as long as you need it. You are not alone and we love you!
(I’m not so great at meals but wish I were there to help clean your house! And to MEET those boys. I can’t believe we’ve missed that pleasure!)
